Hello and welcome to Corie DuChateau Photography & Film!
I’m Corie DuChateau, and I provide photography, video production, and podcast production services in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

I’m originally from the United States (Arizona, Colorado, California), but I’ve been living in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for almost 10 years.
I found my passion for photography in high school. I loved staying late after school in the darkroom, developing black and white 35mm film photos!
I’ve been making portraits and landscape photos for most of my life! At least 27 years!
In university I studied film production and cinematography, as I continued to be fascinated by cameras and what they can do.
I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in film and television production from University of Colorado, Denver.
I worked in television production for 8 years in Denver, Colorado. I worked on numerous series for HGTV, Food Network, Discovery Channel, TLC, DIY Network, The Weather Channel, and the National Parks Service.
I’ve always been interested in documentary style and educational style films and television series.
I worked on emerging video technology projects in Silicon Valley, California. I was one of the first to personally film, produce and direct live streaming broadcasts for television and radio stations, educational conferences, weddings, and events. My team and I even published a live video streaming app to the app stores before Facebook Live existed!
I moved to Puerto Vallarta in 2016 and started my business as a freelance photographer and videographer.
I started out filming promos for Act2PV Theater and other local businesses.
In 2017 I produced a short film in Puerto Vallarta with IlianFilm entitled Banality of Evil, which was accepted into seven international film festivals.
In 2019 I started working as a wedding photographer and videographer in Puerto Vallarta’s vibrant destination wedding industry.
In 2019 I also started working as a real estate photographer and videographer.
In 2022 I produced a short documentary film entitled The Pencil and the Thread: 50 Years of Collaboration, which showed with the artists’ exhibition of the same name at Arte Vallarta Museo.
In 2023 / 2024 I spent some time as an on-air personality on the radio show Vallarta’s Asphalt.
In 2024 I started producing short documentary films about villas and historic homes in Puerto Vallarta. Casa Cuale: Tracing Puerto Vallarta’s Architectural Heritage was one of my first films in this style, but now I’ve made several about various villas around Vallarta.
In 2025 I produced another short documentary film for Arte Vallarta Museo entitled Daniel Lechón: Artista mexicano maestro; pintor de bellas artes en Puerto Vallarta en las 1950-1960s about Mexican fine artist Daniel Lechón, who painted many pastoral scenes of Puerto Vallarta in the 1950s and 60s. This was my first film entirely in Spanish!
In 2026 I started producing podcasts for clients.
I’m still focusing on all kinds of photography, video, and podcast production, so send me a message to discuss your project!
